About Chun Mei Ice Shop

Introducing Chun Mei Ice Shop, a charming dessert restaurant tucked into Songshan District, Taipei, where locals slip in for something cold, comforting, and quietly addictive. Located at No. 54號, Lane 120, Dunhua N Rd, this spot feels like a neighborhood secret even though it’s easy to reach, and that relaxed, no-rush energy shows the moment you step inside. Chun Mei Ice Shop isn’t flashy or overdesigned; instead, it leans into a simple, welcoming vibe that lets the desserts do the talking. I usually describe it as the kind of place you visit “just for a quick bite” and somehow end up lingering longer than planned. The menu focuses on refreshing, thoughtfully prepared desserts, with options that highlight organic ingredients and clean flavors, which makes each bowl feel light rather than overly sweet. Because of that balance, it works just as well for an afternoon cool-down as it does for a casual after-dinner treat. Service options are flexible too, so whether you prefer to dine in, grab takeaway on the move, or order delivery when the craving hits at home, Chun Mei Ice Shop fits easily into your routine. What I really enjoy is how approachable everything feels; nothing is complicated, yet every detail seems intentional, from the texture of the ice to the way toppings are layered. It’s clearly designed for people who want something fast but still care about quality. In a city packed with dessert choices, Chun Mei Ice Shop stands out by keeping things honest, quick, and satisfying, making it a dependable stop for anyone exploring Taipei’s sweeter side. For first-time visitors, the atmosphere makes ordering feel effortless, and the quick service keeps the experience smooth without feeling rushed, which matters when you just want a cool dessert and a calm place to enjoy it. It’s the sort of dessert restaurant that blends naturally into daily life rather than feeling like a special occasion.

A popular neighbourhood dessert shop popular with their signature shaved ice dessert. All orders come in generous portion. Due to popular demand and small shop sizes, be expected to wait for seating. It's % worth the short wait for their gorgeous and yummy dessert. (Remember to scan QR code outside of shop for queue/serving sequence number)

Mango Snow Shaved Ice (milk based flavour) ($220): It’s topped with a bunch of mangoes and some cereals on the milk shaved snow. The mangoes are relatively fresh and I love the texture and flavour of the milk shaved snow. The crispy cereals also complement the shaved snow well and cereal + milk has always been a classic breakfast for kids. In addition, this is the only flavoured shaved ice they have, and all the others are made with pure ice. The nearest MRT (Nanjing Fuxing) exits to the shop is No. 6 (Green line) and No. 7 (Brown line). To my great surprise, the store was filled with people despite its inner location even at weekdays that I queued by scanning the QR code online to queue and waited for about 20 minutes. However, all of the waiting was worth it after tasting the delicious mango shaved snow. They have English menu for foreign visitors. The prices are a little high and the service attitude was decent. Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10! FYI, it’s cash only and you order and pay first at the counter.

We got here just in time as there was one table left. Really good shaved ice. Mango and milk tea shaved ice was delicious. Ice texture was good and toppings tasted great.
